Welcome to my practice

Each person’s story is unique. Our experiences, relationships, cultural backgrounds, values, and life circumstances shape how we understand ourselves and navigate the world around us. While many of us share similar challenges, the meaning we make of those experiences is deeply personal.

I provide a warm, collaborative, and person-centered approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to your individual needs, strengths, and goals. In addition to English, I speak Cantonese and convesational Mandarin, and I welcome clients from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

Whether you are experiencing anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, cultural identity concerns, or the pressure of balancing personal, family, and professional responsibilities, therapy can provide a space for reflection, healing and grwoth.

My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable bringing your authentic self. Together, we will explore the challenges that may be impacting your well-bring, build on your existing strengths, and develop practical tools to help you move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence.

I believe meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and supported. It would be a privilege to learn about your story and walk alongside you as you create a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with your values.
I want very much to hear your story, and help you identify and overcome challenges that impact your relationships and daily life. I offer a welcoming, safe, and judgment-free space where you can be your most honest self. I work hard to make sure my clients feel heard and supported. I will listen carefully to you and offer tailored perspectives and ideas to help you maximize your strengths, conquer obstacles, and live a happier life.

My Background

I was born in Hong Kong and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area at age of 15. My experience navigating different cultures and adapting to a new environment has shaped both my personal journey and my understanding of the unique challenges many individuals and families face.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health from the San Jose State University, and my bachelor’s degree from University of California, Davis. I currently work in community mental health in San Francisco bay area and have extensive experience supporting diverse populations, including children and adolescents, adults, immigrants, and members of the Asian American community.

My clinical work has given me the opportunity to support indivudals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, family stress, and cultural identify concerns. I am passionate about creating a supoprtive and culturally responsive space where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy practicing yoga, Pilates, hiking, cooking, and camping. I am a fan of science fiction. Most importantly, I am a wife and a mother, roles that continue to deepen my appreciation for the complexities of relationships, family life, and personal growth.

Professional Experience

I have worked in a variety of healthcare, community mental health, and child welfare settings in both the United States and Hong Kong. My experience includes working as a therapist with psychiatry at Kaiser Permanente and a Behavioral Health Therapist at Asian Health Services.

Prior to becoming a therapist, i worked in leadership and case management roles with organizations in Hong Kong. I have also provided mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, immigrants, and families through community-based programs in the Bay Area.

These diverse experiences have shaped my culturally responsive, strengths-based approach and continue to inform the work i do with clients today.
